PGA Golf Operations Manager / PGA Professional

Permanent | Approximately 20 hours per week employed Golf Operations role, with the opportunity to develop an independent coaching business.

Crews Hill Golf Club is seeking an ambitious PGA Professional to lead our Golf Operations while developing their own coaching business.

Unlike a traditional Head Professional position, this opportunity removes one of the biggest barriers facing many PGA Professionals today – the significant investment often required to establish and stock a professional shop.

Instead, Crews Hill Golf Club provides the retail operation, facilities and infrastructure, allowing the successful candidate to focus on delivering an outstanding golf operation whilst building a successful coaching business.

We are investing in the future of our golf operation and are looking for a PGA Professional who shares our ambition to deliver exceptional service, modern retailing and an engaging coaching programme.

The Employed Role

This employed position is based on approximately 20 hours per week and is responsible for leading the day-to-day Golf Operations.

Responsibilities include:

Leading the Professional Shop operation.

Delivering an exceptional experience for members and visitors.

Retail merchandising, stock presentation and commercial performance.

Supporting competitions and day-to-day golf operations.

Developing the club’s retail offering.

Working with the General Manager to enhance the overall customer experience.

Assisting with the recruitment and development of Assistant and Trainee PGA Professionals.

Supporting membership growth through excellent customer engagement.

 

The successful candidate will work with the Club to agree how these hours are delivered and the operational responsibilities expected within them.

 

Independent Coaching Business

Alongside the employed role, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop and retain their own independent coaching business.

Income opportunities include:

Individual coaching.

About You

You will be:

A fully qualified PGA Professional in good standing.

Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.

Commercially minded and enthusiastic about growing both retail and coaching.

Confident using modern retail systems and social media.

Organised, approachable and motivated.

Looking to develop a long-term career within a progressive golf club.

Remuneration

£25,000 employed salary based on approximately 20 operational hours per week.

Performance-related retail profit share.

Payment for academy and junior coaching.

25% commission on new members introduced by you.

A further 10% commission on Year 2 membership renewals for retained members.
