East Devon Golf Club is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and customer-focused PGA Professional to join our team at one of Devon’s finest heathland golf courses.
Founded in 1902 and set within a stunning coastal location overlooking Lyme Bay, East Devon Golf Club is a highly regarded members’ club with a thriving membership, busy visitor programme and excellent practice facilities.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious PGA Professional looking to develop their career within a progressive and welcoming club environment.

The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a first-class golfing experience for members and visitors through:

•Providing individual and group coaching for golfers of all abilities.
•Developing and growing the club’s coaching programmes.
•Leading junior, beginner and women-in-golf initiatives.
•Managing and developing retail operations within the Professional Shop.
•Delivering custom fitting services and equipment expertise.
•Supporting club competitions and golf operations as required.
•Promoting participation and membership engagement.
•Managing bookings and competitions
•Working closely with the General Manage and Club committees.

The Ideal Candidate

Applicants should possess:
•Full PGA qualification and current PGA membership.
•Strong coaching and communication skills.
•A proactive and professional approach to customer service.
•Retail and merchandising experience.
•Experience in custom fitting and modern coaching technology would be advantageous.
•Excellent organisational and administrative abilities.
•A team-focused attitude with a desire to contribute to the continued success of the club.
•Strong Understanding Rules of Golf and competition management, including rules of handicapping.
•Good understanding of golf specific software eg IntelligentGolf would be an advantage
