Woodbridge Golf Club is inviting applications from ambitious, enthusiastic and commercially minded PGA Professionals to become our next Head Professional.

This is a rare opportunity to lead the professional services at one of England’s leading private members’ golf clubs. With 27 holes, over 900 playing members, outstanding practice facilities and a loyal customer base, Woodbridge Golf Club provides an exceptional platform for an energetic PGA Professional to build and grow a successful coaching, retail and custom fitting business.

Working in partnership with the Club, you will play a key role in delivering an outstanding golfing experience while helping to shape the future development of our golf operation.

Facilities

The successful candidate will benefit from excellent facilities, including:

Modern Professional Shop and workshop situated adjacent to the putting green and 1st tee.
Purpose-built, air-conditioned coaching and custom fitting studio.
Warm-up practice range.
Dedicated short game area with practice green.
Large practice ground.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing all aspects of the Club’s professional services.

Working closely with the Secretary, Board of Directors and wider Club team, you will deliver an exceptional service to members and visitors while developing a successful professional business within the Club.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Delivering high-quality individual and group coaching using modern coaching techniques and technology.
• Developing coaching programmes for golfers of all abilities, including juniors, women and beginners.
• Managing and developing the Professional Shop and retail operation.
• Providing custom fitting, equipment advice and club repair services.
• Leading and motivating the Professional Shop team to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Supporting Club competitions, visitor golf, societies and corporate events.
• Monitoring tee sheets, 1st tee and dress code.
• Promoting participation in golf and contributing to membership growth.
• Working collaboratively with the Club team to support the ongoing success of Woodbridge Golf Club.
• Acting as a professional ambassador for the Club both on and off the course.

You will be:

• A fully qualified PGA Professional.
• An excellent coach with a passion for developing golfers of all abilities.
• Commercially aware with experience in retail and golf operations.
• An outstanding communicator who enjoys building lasting relationships with members and visitors.
• Well organised, self-motivated and proactive.
• Committed to delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining the highest professional standards.
