Market Harborough Golf Club is looking for an ambitious, passionate and commercially driven Head PGA Professional to lead and elevate our golf offering as we continue through an exciting period of investment and growth.

The successful candidate will be the face of the club’s golf activities, combining first-class customer service, coaching expertise, and retail management with strong leadership skills.

The Role

As Head PGA Professional, you’ll play a key role in driving the success and growth of the golf operation while delivering an exceptional experience to members, guests, corporate clients and visiting societies.

The Professional will work closely with the Board, Office Team, Greens Team, Bar and Catering Team, and volunteers to support the Club’s strategic objectives, member satisfaction, and long-term growth.

This is a hands-on role for someone who loves golf, enjoys building relationships and thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

You’ll lead from the front-whether that’s delivering first-class tuition, growing membership sales, developing the driving range business or creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere within the Pro Shop.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Delivering high-quality golf tuition to members.
• Supporting the development and growth of memberships.
• Building strong relationships with members, guests and colleagues across the Club.
• Manage the day-to-day running of the pro shop.
• Provide custom fitting services, advice, and club repairs.
• Deliver individual and group coaching sessions.
• Help develop a scheme to increase ladies’ membership and participation.
• Provide demo days, coaching clinics and support club initiatives.
• Act as an ambassador for the Club in professional competitions, matches and pro-ams.
• Support tee management, competitions, societies and events.
• Be the first point of contact for visitors and guests.
• Manage the 1st and 10th tees and enforce the Club’s dress code.
• Ensure high standards of member service and engagement.
• Collaborate with the Board to support the Club’s strategic objectives.
• Collaborate and support all MHGC staff across bar & catering, admin office and greens team to deliver an exceptional golfing experience.
• You will have the freedom to run your own business whilst benefitting from the support and profile of a highly regarded Club.

Opportunity to Develop a State-of-the-Art Performance Centre

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with the Club to design and develop a new swing analysis and custom fitting studio at Market Harborough Golf Club. The facility will be funded by the Club and will provide a long-term platform for coaching, player development, custom fitting and golf performance services. The Golf Professional will play a leading role in shaping the facility and, once operational, will be responsible for its day-to-day operation and maintenance.

• A fully qualified PGA Professional with a proven track record in a similar role.
• Excellent communication skills with members, staff and guests.
• Proficiency in golf operations software, digital communications, and modern coaching techniques.

• A reliable and energetic person who is keen to help shape the future of the Club.
• A strong business acumen and the ability to effectively promote the Club.
