The Opportunity

Carluke Golf Club is seeking an Accredited PGA Golf Professional to take responsibility for the delivery and development of a professional golf operation at the Club, in accordance with a formal Service Level Agreement.

The successful candidate will receive a competitive retainer, together with a range of exclusive commercial rights, providing an exciting opportunity to establish and develop a successful professional golf business within a thriving club environment.

About Carluke Golf Club

Carluke Golf Club is an active, welcoming and forward-thinking club with a membership of over 700 adult members and 140 junior members.

The Club has ambitions to continue developing its facilities and services for members and visitors. As part of these plans, the Club is exploring opportunities to further enhance its practice and coaching facilities, including the potential development of a swing room and sheltered practice bays.

We are looking to work with a PGA Professional who shares our ambition and sees the opportunity to build a successful, sustainable and commercially driven professional golf business at Carluke.

What We Are Looking For

Carluke Golf Club is looking to appoint a PGA Professional who can deliver a comprehensive, professional and commercially sustainable golf service that supports the needs of members, visitors and the wider Club.

The service should provide:

• High-quality coaching for golfers of all ages and abilities, supporting participation, enjoyment and player development.
• A friendly, welcoming and professional customer experience for members, visitors and guests.
• A commercially focused retail operation, providing an appropriate range of golf equipment, clothing and accessories.
• Professional club-fitting services, incorporating current technology and best practice.
• Support for the successful delivery of Club competitions, golf events and other golfing activities.
  Opportunities and initiatives designed to encourage more people to play, learn and enjoy golf at Carluke.
  Access to current technology, innovation and developments within the golf industry where these can enhance the service provided to members and customers.
  Effective management and development of any assistants or additional professional staff required to support the operation.
  A service that is well organised, reliable, accessible and responsive to the needs of the Club and its members.
  Strong communication and engagement with members, visitors, Club representatives and colleagues.
  A professional operation that is commercially aware and capable of developing sustainable revenue opportunities.
  Services and initiatives that positively support and complement Carluke Golf Club’s wider plans, objectives and future development.
  Consistently high standards of professionalism, service delivery and customer care across all areas of the professional operation.
  The appointed PGA Professional will be expected to work collaboratively with the Club to ensure that the professional golf service continues to evolve, meets the changing needs of members and visitors, and contributes positively to the Club’s long-term ambitions.
