Work Experience

July 2012 – I worked for 2 weeks as work experience through school at Direct Golf in Solihull where I was given various tasks such as restocking the store, maintaining the golf range and assisting customers.

2014 – 2019  – MytimeActive Lickey Hills Golf Course,  Assistant and Retail Assistant of sales.                                                                                                               My roles include taking bookings, customer service, setting up direct debits, taking cash, card and cheque payments and cashing up at the end of the day as well as stock control and club maintenance.

2017 –  2019  – Morrison’s Rubery (259), Checkout Runner.                                               My roles include, managing stock control on the till tops, Running the Checkouts (managing breaks and the staff), counting the tills, banking all the cash in cash office, opening and closing the department.

2019  – 2020 – Morrison’s Rubery (259), Checkout Team Leader.                                           At the start of August in 2019 I was promoted to Checkout Team Leader, in addition to the roles stated above I now have to attend MyJourney – Path to management courses and enrolled on Pathways. Due to increased responsibility I learnt how to conduct staff searches and manage the expenses (ordering bags, till roles, ICH pouches, ETC.) also I went from a part time employee to a full time role.

2020 – August 2021 – Ravenmeadow Golf Centre, Golf Professional and Professional shop manager (Till March 2021) Assistant Professional (April 2021 – August 2021).                                                                                                              My roles include but are not limited to running the Professional shop, managing stock, orders and the staff. Working with the members committee to ensure growth in both our membership and pay & play green fees. Also due to the diverse nation of our audience with our jungle safari adventure golf and footgolf, I am face to face with new customers everyday and as a front of house member of staff must provide excellent customer service to ensure that the small business flourishes and continues to expand. Please note the decision to decrease my hours was made after regaining PGA EuroPro Tour Status and playing full time so moving to work part time.

September 2021 – June 2022 – Hollywood Golf Club, Assistant Professional.            To continue to pursue my playing career after regaining PGA EuroPro Tour Status I made the decision to cut my hours to part time and then when a part time job offer came up at Hollywood Golf Club approx 10 mins from my house with a Head Professional I have known for years the decision was simple. My roles are to ensure every member or visitor has the same experience when playing at Hollywood, to help assist in a well stocked high end professional shop and to help coach and grow the junior and ladies section to ensure the upmost enjoyment from the sport and help the golfers achieve their goals.

July 2022 – Present – Scottsdale Golf in Warrington, Club Fitter and Builder. Aside from playing, one my biggest loves in golf is the equipment side. I can pretty much draw out the E.I Curve of any shaft and have always enjoyed going overboard on the technical ways I can improve someone’s golf with equipment. Being offered a position to fit and build on weekends, while playing all week was something I had to experience.

January 2025 – Present – Scottsdale Golf in Birmingham, Head of Fitting.                             After moving to a Full Time Role in July 2023 at Scottsdale Golf Glasgow, I was offered a chance to move back to Birmingham to open the new site as ‘Head of Fitting’. In this role I manage the fitting team, plan out the daily rota and ensure the team are hitting the targets set out.

Achievements, Hobbies

I was a prefect at school which was a position that I enjoyed having the responsibility of.                                                                                                                                              I have always enjoyed sport and I am a playing professional Golfer on the PGA EuroPro Tour. In golf I currently have status on the PGA EuroPro Tour and all of the mini tours in the UK. Prior to turning professional in 2020 off a handicap of Plus 2, I represented my home golf club, my school (Colmers), my college (MPGA),  my county (Warwickshire) and my country (England) and have been part of title winning teams for all. I also played and won events in the Midland Order of Merit which is a series of events over the season for the top Amateur golfers in the midlands. Prior to taking up Golf I was a keen footballer and played for Birmingham City as there goalkeeper as well as help to coach younger goalkeepers in holidays however when I was 13 years of age I choose to stop playing football and concentrate of Golf.

My Ambition was always to have a playing career in golf. If this does not come to fruition then I have a number of back up plans both inside and outside of Golf. Retail Management is a viable option after having experience at a younger age, or joining the police force, as I have always had a keen interest in that field. Inside golf as a back up I am very interested in Club Fitting & Building. I have experience using the following systems: –

·      Foresight Sports GC2 With HMT and GC Quad

·      Trackman (TM3 and TM4)

·      Science and Motion Sports (SAM Putt Lab)

·      Quintic Ball Roll

·      Capto Golf Putting Analysis System

·      BodiTrak Golf

·      GEARS Golf

·      Hackmotion 3D

In October 2021 I enrolled onto the PGA Professional Golf Studies through the University of Birmingham. I will be doing this to give myself a viable backup to my future in golf if my playing career is unsuccessful, this qualification is also a standing degree would help my life benefit in the future if the stepping stones led me down a path outside of this sport.

As part of my previous and present adventures I have certificates in safeguarding Children and Adults, an up to date DBS check and first aid level 2 training.

I had 100% attendance at school in my final year and I feel that you need to put 100% into life in order to achieve your goals.
