About the Candidate

Good Afternoon,

I am seeking to apply for a Trainee PGA Role at Beaconsfield because I would like to pursue a change of career to the golf industry which I have a significant passion and background.

My father is a retired PGA Professional formerly Head Pro at Worcester Golf and Country Club and as a young child I therefore spent a significant time around a Golf Club environment and understand the requirements of running, opening up/closing the shop, providing services to the membership and representing the golf club. I also have picked up experience working on clubs, replacing grips, shortening/lengthening clubs and do this for my own equipment.

My golfing career has seen me Captain a golf team at the University of Exeter and earlier I played competitive tournaments within the county as a Junior. I was a member at WGCC for 12 years until I moved away for work, representing the Men’s A Team.
I have a keen interest to pursue the competitive side of the role and therefore the opportunities at Beaconsfield are what I am looking for.

I have Sales experience in the cycling industry selling bicycles as a weekend role whilst at university and I believe my engineering knowledge would be applicable to selling and fitting golf club equipment particularly with the ever changing club technologies.
