About the Candidate

This letter is to express my interest in working as the Head PGA Professional or Director of Instruction. Currently, I am a Class A CPGA golf professional that has been teaching professionally for 9 years. I run and operate my own teaching and club fitting business, Cari Chow Golf, at Squamish Valley Golf Club and other local golf spots within Vancouver, BC. These roles include being solely responsible for building all women’s and junior programs, running ladies and junior camps, managing/ mentoring my staff, teaching, PING club fitting, coaching local high schools, working locally with the community’s cultural centres, and other general small-business duties. Before starting my business, I was the Assistant Professional at Squamish Valley Golf Club for 3 years. This included teaching, club fitting (with PING), bookkeeping, cash handling, cash reports, and banking. Furthermore, I have worked with programs that include Trackman, GC Quad/Foresight Sports, Tee-on, Excel, Microsoft, and Wix to assist me in these duties. Outside of the golf industry, over the last two winters, I have had experience working for Vail Resorts and Boyne Resorts in supervisor/coordinating positions that have furthered my leadership skills. I am a hard-working professional, with my goal being to obtain a full-time position, and fully dedicate my expertise to better the community and clients.
