About the Candidate
Golf has been a huge part of my life from a young age. I represented Sheffield, Yorkshire and England throughout my junior career before progressing to play professionally, winning professional tournaments, including on the Alps Tour, and having the privilege of competing in The Open Championship in 2017. While I am incredibly proud of my playing career, I have always known that I wanted to build a long-term future within the golf industry, helping others enjoy and improve their game.
I am due to recommence the PGA Foundation Degree in Professional Golf Studies in October 2026, having completed the first year of the course before putting my studies on hold to pursue my playing career. During that time, I worked in the professional shop at Chorlton-cum-Hardy Golf Club, where I gained experience in all aspects of the role, including retail sales, customer service, coaching, custom fitting, club repairs and the day-to-day running of the shop. Building strong relationships with members was one of the most rewarding parts of the role, and I was proud to regularly represent the club in Captain and Professional matches and Manchester Alliance Pro-Ams.
Since stepping away from professional golf, I have helped build and manage my family’s pizza business, growing it from a mobile catering business into a successful restaurant. Managing the day-to-day running of the business has developed my leadership, communication, customer service and commercial skills, while giving me valuable experience in managing staff, stock and delivering consistently high standards of customer service. These experiences have reinforced the importance of creating a welcoming environment and building lasting relationships with customers – qualities I believe are equally important in a successful golf club.
