Assistant Professional

Hallamshire Golf Club is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and service-focused PGA Training Applicant or Year 1 Trainee to join our established Professional Team.

This is an excellent opportunity to begin a career within one of the region’s leading private members’ golf clubs, gaining hands-on experience across all aspects of professional golf in a service-led, in-house environment.

Working alongside a team of experienced PGA Professionals, the successful candidate will be supported throughout their PGA training and gain experience in:

Golf retail and customer service
Member and visitor relations
Equipment sales and custom fitting
Coaching and player development
Competitions and events
Golf operations and tournament organisation
Stock management and merchandising
General professional shop duties

We are looking for someone who is passionate about golf, enjoys working with people and is committed to delivering exceptional service. The ideal candidate will be reliable, eager to learn, commercially aware and ambitious to develop into a well-rounded PGA Professional.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

Good organisational skills and attention to detail
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
The ability to work effectively within a team
Previous experience within a golf club or professional shop environment would be advantageous, although attitude, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are equally important.
