Junior & Development Coach – Wyke Green Golf Club

Wyke Green Golf Club is looking for an ambitious Junior & Development Coach to join our growing coaching programme.

This is a coaching-focused opportunity, with no shop hours, ideally suited to someone currently completing their PGA training or a recently qualified PGA Professional who wants to build their career around coaching and player development.

The Opportunity

Our ambition is to build one of the strongest junior development programmes in the area, and we are looking for someone who wants to play an important part in that journey.

The role will initially focus on delivering junior coaching, adult group sessions and school programmes. Coaching hours are already available, including two school programmes, with a combination of midweek and weekend sessions.

For the right person, there is a clear pathway to take on increasing responsibility within the programme and, over time, potentially lead the Junior Academy.

As the programme develops, there will also be scope for significantly increased coaching hours and responsibility.

More Than Just the Initial Hours

Wyke Green is an established private members’ club entering an exciting period of investment and development within its coaching operation.

The successful coach will have the opportunity to work across:

A growing Junior Academy
Local school and community coaching programmes
Adult group coaching
On-course coaching
TrackMan iO studio coaching
Developing practice facilities
Their own 1-to-1 coaching, should they wish to build a personal lesson diary
The role is designed to grow alongside the coach.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re particularly interested in someone who is:

Currently completing their PGA training or recently qualified
Passionate about junior development
Ambitious about developing their coaching career
Comfortable coaching both juniors and adults
Keen to take on greater responsibility as the programme grows
Able to work some midweek and weekend coaching hours
Able to travel to local schools and therefore has their own transport
Experience is important, but we’re equally interested in finding someone with the right attitude, ambition and genuine enthusiasm for developing young golfers.

For coaches earlier in their PGA training, there will be the opportunity to develop into greater responsibility as their experience grows.

Competitive coaching rates, with initial coaching hours already available and significant potential for the role to develop.
