About the Candidate

I am a fully qualified PGA Professional working for the last three years at Arbroath Golf Links. I have been in the golf industry for around 20 years now, from elite amateur playing, to college in the US, to my Professional job at Arbroath creating a very diverse background with a wealth of knowledge of the golf industry.

During my time at Arbroath Golf Links, I have been given the opportunity to express my knowledge of business in the golf industry. I have developed strong sales and marketing plans to increase our sales margin to 38.9% across our equipment and soft good brands, as well as bringing new clients to the shop from across the county. This increase in sales margin has been down to the restructuring of our brands from the use of sale reports and market research to find the best brands for our client base. I have also been able to increase my coaching clients from zero at the beginning to now over 25 repeat customers, showing both a quality of service and also continually improving my own coaching knowledge and how to relate that information to the client.

One of my biggest accomplishments has been the restructuring and revitalising the junior section; through my coaching and experience of my previous junior years I have successfully improved and maintained our junior membership numbers which is now up to 108, when I first took the job in 2022 we only had 2 junior members.
