About the Company
Westport Golf Club is one of Ireland’s leading championship parkland venues, spectacularly located on the shores of Clew Bay beneath Croagh Patrick in County Mayo. Set across approximately 260 acres of rolling terrain, the course was designed by Fred W. Hawtree and provides a strong yet fair test of golf for players of all levels.
The 18 hole, par 73 course measures just over 6,900 yards from the championship tees and features five demanding par fives, well protected greens and a layout that rewards strategic play. The course has hosted numerous national championships, including Irish Amateur Close Championships and the Irish PGA Championship, reflecting its standing within Irish golf.
Practice facilities at the club are extensive and support both coaching and player development. These include:
- A 20 bay floodlit driving range, with nine covered bays
- Dedicated short game area with bunkered chipping green
- Large putting green
- A 9 hole Pitch & Putt course, ideal for beginners, junior development, group activity and short game practice
