PGA in Hampshire

About the Company

The PGA in Hampshire is the local county branch of The Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA), the professional body representing golf professionals across Great Britain and Ireland. It supports PGA Members working throughout Hampshire, the Isle of Wight and the surrounding area, helping them develop their careers, improve their skills and contribute to the growth of golf.

A key part of its work is organising a programme of tournaments and competitive playing opportunities for local PGA Professionals. These include professional championships, Pro-Am events, matchplay competitions and seasonal Orders of Merit, giving members the chance to compete, develop their game and build relationships with golf clubs, sponsors and fellow professionals.

The PGA in Hampshire also supports the development of emerging professionals and trainees, helping create opportunities for the next generation of talent. Through partnerships with local businesses, sponsors and golf clubs, it helps generate funding and playing opportunities that benefit members and the wider golfing community.

Led by a county committee and supported by its regional PGA team, the organisation provides a local network for professionals to connect, share knowledge and access opportunities throughout their careers.

Ultimately, the PGA in Hampshire plays an important role in supporting golf professionals, strengthening relationships across the county’s golf industry and helping ensure that golf continues to thrive at every level.
