About the Company

Founded in 1892, Headingley is the oldest golf club in Leeds. The course was laid out and shaped in the early 20th century by a number of eminent architects including Dr Alister MacKenzie and Harry Colt.

The most memorable match in the club’s history came when Walter Hagen and Gene Sarazen played one another in ‘The Championship Of The World’ in 1923. More recently Headingley hosted the English Amateur in 2021 and the Yorkshire Amateur in 2023 and, through a blend of its rural setting, variety of holes and incredible views, it is one of the premier courses in the county.
