Founded in 1892, with the current 18-hole course established in 1906, Ballater Golf Club has a remarkable history and an enviable place within Scottish golf.

Situated in the heart of Royal Deeside, surrounded by some of Scotland’s most spectacular scenery, the Club offers an exceptional golfing environment for members and visitors alike.

Ballater has longstanding connections with the Royal Family and is proud to count King Charles III as its Patron. The Club’s history and location, close to Balmoral, give it a unique identity and profile within Scottish golf.

The Club has also welcomed many notable golfers over the years, including Paul Lawrie, who is an Honorary Member.
