About the Candidate

Dear Hiring Manager,

I am writing to express my interest in the Golf Instructor position with the PGA of America Golf Academy – China.

I am a highly motivated golf coach with a strong drive to continually learn and become the best coach I can be. This commitment is reflected through achieving TrackMan Level 2, Scott Cowx certification, my mentorship relationship with Matt Belsham and enrolment in Scott Cowx’s Insider Circle, on top of consistently seeking opportunities to learn from elite coaches and leading voices in the game.

Alongside practical experience, I have invested heavily in developing my coaching knowledge through studying a wide range of golf literature, including The Golfing Machine, Harvey Penick’s Little Red Book, Hogan’s Five Fundamentals, Sam Snead’s The Education of a Golfer, Pelz’s Short Game Bible, and Tiger Woods: How I Play Golf  and many more on top of 100’s of scientific papers, podcasts, videos and constantly analysing videos of the games greats

Over the past three years, I have delivered over 2,500 hours of coaching, working with golfers of varying ages, ethnicity’s and abilities. My coaching approach centres on structured development plans, detailed analysis through video and trackman, and clear communication to help players understand and retain information through motor learning techniques, with the ultimate aim of long term improvement and enjoyment of the game.

Working in Central London has given me the opportunity to work with a diverse group of individuals,  in a fast paced environment, this experience I believe has helped me accelerate my career rapidly due to the volume of clients I have taught in a fairly short period.

Golf has been my life from the age of 2, my ambition now is to be the best coach I can possibly be and give back to the game that has given me so much.
