PERSONAL SUMMARY
I am a passionate, self-motivated PGA Professional having been in and around golf and the industry since I first picked up a golf club. I became a Professional Golfer in 2002. Much of my working life has been spent dedicated to Mapperley Golf Club where I became the Assistant Professional in 1998, until eventually becoming the Head professional in 2005. My objective has always centred around building and supporting a friendly, member orientated club. In doing so I have led, and been part of many initiatives for the betterment of the golfing experience at MGC – ranging from helping to develop the new Short Game Academy at Mapperley GC through to raising money by running the London marathon to raise money for junior golf.
PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY
As the first point of call for most member and guests, I pride myself on delivering a friendly, professional service which positively contributes to the view of MGC as one of the friendliest golf clubs in Nottinghamshire. My skills run right through from promoting member programs to handling, sometimes challenging, customer service queries for a membership of over 600. My achievements include:
- Achieving PGA Certification in 2006
- Managing a budget of £120K and contributing to the annual business plan.
- Delivering services as varied as tee time bookings and setting up and running competitions.
- Administering MGC’s Club V1 system and BRS booking system.
- Being responsible for all business and financial aspects of a successful golf shop.
- Implementing training programs to enhance the club’s customer service standards.
- Contributing and supporting the women’s and junior sections.
- Installed a Custom fitting and indoor Golf studio to support members using metrics.
- Taught lessons to members and non-members of all skill levels, both individually and groups.
- Supporting the Board of Directors, with whom I have a close working relationship.
- Represented the club in Nottingham, regional and national PGA events and inter-club competitions.
