Plymouth Golf Centre is seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic Trainee PGA Coach (Year 1–3 PGA Student) to join one of the busiest and fastest-growing golf academies in the UK.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop within a high-performance coaching environment, gaining hands-on experience across individual coaching, group programmes, junior development and golf schools, while building your own client base within an established academy structure.

The academy benefits from a high volume of coaching activity, an ever-growing customer base and strong links with golfers from clubs across the region, providing excellent exposure to a wide range of players and coaching opportunities.  High earning potential.

What You’ll Be Involved In

• 1-to-1 coaching
• Adult group coaching programmes
• Award-winning junior academy coaching (100+ participants per week)
• Golf schools and academy events
• Beginner and development programmes
• Supporting the continued growth of the academy
• You will have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of golfers and gain practical coaching experience across all areas of academy delivery.

Coaching Development & Mentoring

A key part of this role is the opportunity to develop under the guidance of a highly experienced coaching team, including:

• A PGA Fellow Manager
• A PGA Advanced Professional

• This provides an excellent environment to accelerate your coaching development, gain practical coaching experience, and build the foundations of a successful long-term coaching career.

In addition to developing your coaching skills, you will gain valuable exposure to the wider operation of a successful golf academy, including:

• Academy management
• Coaching programme design and delivery
• Junior academy development
• Customer retention and client journey planning
• Marketing and promotion
• Event and golf school planning
• Business development and revenue generation
• With a large and growing coaching programme, significant lesson throughput, and regular engagement from members of golf clubs throughout the region, this role offers an outstanding opportunity to gain experience and build a successful coaching business alongside your PGA studies.
